IT ALL STARTED WITH LOCKDOWN
Looking for an environmentally friendly alternative to disposable masks, Melbourne mum, Jacqui and her daughter, Olivia started sewing cotton masks for family and friends. Testing and refining designs, they created their own unique mask style with a wire for fit and elastic for comfort.
Within a couple of days, their pop-up shop for the school holidays grew into a thriving business supporting a community of makers.
FROM OUR FAMILY TO YOURS
We have been blown away by the support that our friends, family and wider community have shown us. We feel confident that we can provide a quality product while being sustainably minded. Our ability to provide people with jobs that can be carried out remotely is also important to us during these unsettling times.
Our goal is to provide an opportunity for young people to learn sewing and business skills through mentoring from experienced mature sewers (the oldies). From design, producing, order management and delivery, The MASKeteers are supporting the next generation of creative business owners.
